The PepsiCo Cesar Chavez Latino Scholarship Fund is open to full-time, undergraduate students of Hispanic descent. Students may attend any education institution in Arizona and California.
Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, leadership in extra-curricular activities, a commitment to volunteer service in the community, and financial need. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. The scholarship is available to U.S. Citizen, Permanent Legal Resident, Undocumented, DACA or Eligible Non-Citizen.
Applicants must complete a 500-word essay and also submit a completed application, along with two letters of recommendation and a grade transcript. Ten scholarships are awarded every year.
The mission of the Education Fund of the Cesar Chavez Foundation is to improve the level of academic proficiency among farm workers, Latinos and other working families by providing educational opportunities that have never been within their reach.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MAY of each year, and the award amount is usually $5,000.
